Job Description:
POSITION: Part-Time Clinical Instructor
SCHEDULE: Current Schedule is Tuesday and Wednesday's 7:00 am
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare clinical assignments prior to clinical learning experience
Instruct and Supervise nursing students in the clinical setting
Instruct and Supervise nursing students with virtual clinical simulation to support the achievement of student learner outcomes when clinical agency is unavailable
Evaluate student learning assignments and provide constructive feedback
Complete formative and summative student evaluations
Communicate with Course Team Leader on a weekly basis regarding student issues
Perform other duties associated with the position.
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
NOTE: Unless otherwise noted, all required qualifications must be met by date of hire.
MA Registered nurse license in good standing.
Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited institution of higher learning
Possesses a minimum of two (2) years full-time experience in nursing, or its equivalent, within the last five (5) years
Evidence of competence in clinical area of Medical Surgical Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing
BLS Health Provider Level certification from AHA
Candidate must clear a 10-panel urine drug screen per clinical placement policy as a condition of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Nursing or enrolled in an MSN program
Previous clinical teaching experience
Experience with the use of patient simulation and technology
Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse population
BACKGROUND CHECK: Candidates will be required to pass a CORI and SORI check as a condition of employment.
Additional Information:
SALARY: $66/hour, Non-benefited position
