Overview

Centurion of Vermont is seeking a full time Clinical In-Service Nurse Coordinator to work at our Regional Office in Waterbury Center, Vermont.

The Clinical In-Service Nurse Coordinator provides correctional nursing clinical guidance to correctional-based nurses and support staff. Collaborates with facility-based nursing leaders to assure that correctional nursing activities, care management processes, and nursing documentation are implemented to achieve correctional standards-based healthcare. Provides orientation for new nurse hires and provides correctional nursing care mentoring at the facilitylevel for both new nurse hires and established nursing staff. Provides direct nursing care at the facilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a Valid Vermont RN license

  • Must show current tuberculosis documentation

  • Must show active CPR certification

  • Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency clearance

  • Progressive experience in nursing care with a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience

  • Experience in a correctional setting preferred

This is an entry-level Production Editor position.</p> <p> </p> <p>JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>For Peer Review management: monitor, track, traffic and troubleshoot manuscripts and associated materials, and coordinate with editors, peer reviewers and customer contacts to ensure smooth flow through the peer review process.</li> <li>Contact author/editorial office for missing elements or substandard materials.</li> <li>For outsourced copyediting: Work with team to prioritize assignments. Review copyediting by freelancers, resolve queries and provide feedback as necessary.</li> <li>For the occasional in-house copyediting: Edit manuscript per specific journal style. Review/QC image, cover and ad proofs as required. Resolve basic quality concerns.</li> <li>Correspond with authors, customer, offshore partner, manufacturer, online provider(s), etc, regarding schedules, special instructions and job status.</li> <li>Verify final files and complete issue release processes for print and online products.</li> <li>Maintain procedural documentation, and contribute to ongoing workflow refinements.</li> <li>Assist in training new staff</li> <li>Other projects and duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree preferred, or minimum <strong>1 year </strong>editorial/composition/publishing and customer service experience.</li> <li>Organized and attentive to fine detail. Must be able to balance and complete multiple priorities.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and writing skills.
