Charter Oak Health Center is seeking employment of a Part-Time Clinical Informatics Specialist who is eager to work in a diverse environment. This person must be friendly, outgoing and willing to go above and beyond the needs of the IT Department. You must believe in the mission and vision of Charter Oak Health Center in order to deliver premiere customer service.
The Clinical Informatics Specialist role supports goals of the organization by managing and maximizing the reporting on clinical, operational measures. This role provides analytic support to follow clinical outcomes for proper disease management and population health management. The successful candidate is committed to Quality Improvement as a leading driver of organizational change in a healthcare environment. The objective for this role is to develop innovative technical solutions using best practice approaches, including problem solving and database maintenance. In addition, this role supports the E-Clinical Works EMR to enable a state of the art clinical documentation system for the organization.
1.Analyzes, develops, and maintains computer applications, procedures
and other systems that satisfies the needs of the user departments.

4.Oversees computer applications to ensure proper use and security.
5.Analyzes problems, determines cause and initiates corrective action
and works with the Help Desk system.
6.Develops clear and concise documentation, instruction manuals.
7.Provides in-service and other forms of continuing education.
8.Develops advanced level reports using the reporting software in the
EHR, Microsoft Excel,Crystal Reports and external reporting software

Professional Experience/Educational Requirements
One of the following licenses is preferred:
Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of CT
Nurse Practitioner (NP, PNP, NNP, FNP) licensure with the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of CT
Occupational Therapy (OT) or Physical Therapy (PT) licensure with the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners
