Primary Location: MN > LITTLE FALLS > ST GABRIEL'S HOSPITAL

Clinical optimizer is responsible for providing leadership, clinical expertise, and support for the planning, coordination, & implementation and sustainment of clinical system projects. Provides input regarding the EHR system & the impact on clinical workflow processes in such a way as to gain support & buy-in from staff to successfully implement upgrades and or changes.

Position requires strong clinical expertise & understanding of information needs of the clinical disciplines to guide system implementation and optimization efforts & to gain consensus for new clinical processes and workflows. Responsible for training of providers and staff. Demonstrates clinical, organizational, & communication skills in dealing with physicians, & other health care workers.

Required Education for Staff Job Levels

Degree in Nursing or other health carefield.

Required Licensure and

Certifications

RN,LPN, RHIT, or other Healthcare Licensure/Certifications

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and

Abilities

Proficiency in the use of computer applications

PREFERRED Qualifications

Minimum of five years experience in a clinicalcare setting, Epic experience, knowledge and understanding of clinical documentation, informatics, clinical terminology and clinical models.

Assist the provider with procedures and care of the patient. Collect subjective and objective ophthalmic data from the patient or caregiver and communicates this to the doctor. Cross-training to support basic optical and/or access functions as needed. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Complete medication reconciliation and ensure medication security. Assist provider in performing ophthalmic procedures, including surgery as needed. Maintain clean work environment. Maintain ophthalmic instruments or equipment. Measure visual acuity using appropriate tests. Operate ophthalmic equipment as trained and qualified. Take and document patients' medical histories. QUALIFICATIONS Basic Life Support Certification required. High school graduate is preferred. Will provide training and education for required skills.
