Participates in ongoing educational assessments of patients. Provides instruction to patients while maintaining an orderly and disciplined structure in the classroom.

Develops special interventions for patients unable to function within the classroom setting. Assists in curriculum development. Participates in patient treatment planning and staffings when necessary.

Understands the basic growth and development milestones with appropriate interventions specific to the age and population served. Completes patient lesson plans. Completes and maintains all records as required.

Maintains an adequate supply of appropriate instructional materials relative to patient's age and functioning level. Participates in case management activities as required. Assures the maintenance of a safe and sanitary environment.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree required, Masters preferred.

Experience: One year teaching ED/BD children and/or adolescents preferred.

License/Certification: Valid Illinois teaching certificate; certification in Special Education preferred.

Job Description: Qualified Operating Room Registered Nurses RN or CST Surgical Technologists will be tasked with educating end users on a new medical devices used in hospital facilities and other healthcare facilities. The medical devices being educated on are ones typically seen during endoscopic endonasal skull base surgeries. You are responsible for end-user education only; no sales responsibilities, and no patient care. This medical device educator role allows you to utilize your RN experience in a new way that does not involve patient care. Depending on your current schedule, this type of role can work in conjunction with your current position. Additionally, you will receive exposure to the medical device industry with the potential for long-term career growth in the field. This role has the potential for regional travel to support accounts. Responsibilities: * Provide peer-to-peer education and consultation to RN, Physician, and other healthcare staff in support of end-user education needs in the healthcare setting * Assess customer needs and assist with resolving issues stemming from lack of medical device knowledge or understanding of the particular product * Assist in the delivery of medical device-related in-service education to support key customers * Follow-up with key accounts and customers to assess unmet education and clinical needs as it relates to successful medical device implementation.
