Position Summary To support the development of clinical knowledge and strengthen clinical practice through provision of formal/informal education programs; collaborates with health care provicers to promote quality patient care outcomes; promotes innovation, excellence in service, and professional growth of clinical staff. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education:

Bachelors Degree in Nursing is required. Masters Degree is preferred. License/Certifications:

Current State of Maine RN license is required. Experience: Minimum of five years# acute care experience is required. Demonstrated high knowledge level in nursing process and adult learning principles Demonstrated high knowledge of critical thinking skills Demonstrated high knowledge of Federal, State and all other regulatory agencies regarding education and practice standards for healthcare Ability to collaborate with all healthcare disciplines Articulates elements of professional practice and demonstrates: Knowledge of Evidence Based Practice and Patient and Family Centered Care Understanding of teamwork and collaboration Effective verbal/written communication skills Knowledge of process improvement and sound safety strategies Competence with computer applications
