The Clinical Education Specialist supports the Medtronic Neurovascular Medical Educational team with clinical education programs and professionals affairs aligned with business strategies. This includes, but is not limited to, supporting hands-on and observational courses, creation or modification of course content, and collaboration with physician faculty/key opinion leaders. Ensures all materials and activities meet all Corporate Compliance Guidelines, AdvaMed Guidelines, and applicable federal regulations.
A Day In the Life
Coordinate and manage a wide variety of medical education tasks including course content creation/modification and physician interactions
Supporting hands-on and observational courses, creation or modification of course content, and collaboration with physician faculty/key opinion leaders
Coordinate and manage a wide variety of medical education tasks including course content creation/modification, publications strategies, physician interactions and vehicle selection (i.e. CME, print, etc)
Assist in executing strategic plans and dissemination of clinical information for medical education initiatives
Supporting communications for Investigator Sponsored Research
Understand and ensure compliance with regulatory policies and procedures relating to education programs
Support clinical education programs and lead hands on training stations+ Support and attend scientific/society meetings
Identify and work with stakeholders in other departments (e.g. Clinical Affairs and Marketing) that objectives are met
Assist Neurovascular Education team as needed with paperwork and processes to fulfill compliance and committee requirements as it relates to educational program requirements (grants & donations)
Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Applying metrics to education activities to maintain procedural adoption
Pursue highest standards of support and service to exceed internal and external customer expectations
Travel to educational events and regional shows and exhibits as needed
Adhere to corporate compliance policy, AdvaMed Guidelines, and applicable federal regulations
Must Have; Minimum Requiriments
Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in life sciences, biomedical engineering, and other clinical functions
2+ years of relevant medical device sales, marketing, education or comparable work experience
Intermediate or advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and internet search engines
Nice To Have
Proven understanding of the medical device or pharmaceutical arena and healthcare system requirements
Candidates will have direct patient and hospital experience as nurse and tech in endovascular specialty
Previous in-hospital or specialty services (cath lab, OR) experience
Analytical skills and capability to understand, interpret, and communicate complex scientific information
Insight to determine sales and customer communication/education needs during product life cycle
Ability to work independently and effectively on cross-functional teams
Results and solution oriented
Demonstrated ability to make timely and well-reasoned decisions and adapt to shifting priorities and competing demands
