Adult Medicine Job Type: Full-Time Location: In-Person (Hartford, Connecticut) Position Overview:

The Clinical Director will provide leadership and oversight for the Adult Medicine Department, which includes a recognized diabetes program, a high-performing Ryan White program, and a strong Care Coordination Team. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the Clinical Director will work closely with the Nurse Manager, Practice Manager, and Director of Infectious Diseases. This role involves direct clinical care, administrative oversight, and continuous improvement of clinical operations, provider workflow, patient satisfaction, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership in clinical operations, including the delivery of high-quality patient care. Supervise and collaborate with clinical and administrative staff.

Ensure continuous improvement in patient care, team collaboration, and operational efficiency. Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of clinical staff. Oversee compliance and regulatory adherence.

Develop and implement department strategic goals. Analyze data and make evidence-based decisions to improve services. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited medical school.

Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Experience in a large health center or private practice setting (Director or Associate Director role). Familiarity with underserved populations and complex care needs. Experience supervising advanced practitioners (APRNs, PAs). Strong communication, leadership, and team-building skills.

Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems. Ability to analyze data and contribute to strategic decisions. Preferred Qualifications:

Physician License in the state of Connecticut. Experience with compliance issues related to clinical practice.
