Job Summary

  • Clinical Director

The clinical director is responsible for overseeing and developing the ambulatory surgical center's clinical departments through key tasks such as hiring, evaluating, mentoring, scheduling, and supervision. We seek a professional with proven but flexible strategies to allow for continued growth for the business. A clinical director should be able to solve problems quickly and effectively using excellent critical thinking skills with emotional intelligence to deal with staff at all levels within the organization.

This professional is expected to implement the functions of staff development programs, quality assurance, monitoring budgets for service programs. They must also work with other members of the management team and communicate effectively with them. Additionally, the clinical director will develop and plan strategies to manage program growth and ensure business sustainability.

Qualifications for this role include professional experience with management and staff supervision, including working with a team. Ambulatory experience is not necessary, but a plus. Preference for surgical experience in the clinical areas of pre-op/pacu or perioperative nursing. The right candidate should be able to understand and demonstrate the ability to generate revenues for clinical services, as well as have experience in client billings, knowledge and adherence to regulations such as Joint Commission, CMS standards of care, fiscal budgets and performance improvement. The clinical director should have great communication skills and be open to working flexible hours. Additionally, the clinical director needs to possess great organizational and program development skills, as well as experience in basic computer software such as the Microsoft Office suite. Professionals with a BSN or higher degree will only be considered. This professional is also required to attend all mandatory in-services and meetings.

Required Skills


  • Graduate of a professional school of Nursing.

  • Professionals with a BSN or higher degree will only be considered.

  • Current license as a TX Registered Nurse.

  • Current certification in BLS and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

  • At least two- five years operating room/critical care experience.

  • At least two years supervisory experience in the outpatient surgery area.

  • Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to work well with physicians, employees, patients and others.

  • The knowledge, skills, and abilities of a Staff Nurse are required for this position.

Texas NeuroRehab Center is currently accepting applications for a Clinical Program Director for the Child and Adolescent Program. The candidate selected will be expected to fulfill a variety of responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following: * Participates in the admission conferences in cooperation with unit Clinical Case Manager and communicates pertinent information to family, payer, and/or external case managers. * Assists the treatment team in coordination of patient programs and in developing a discharge plan for each patient. * Maintains an awareness of funding sources needs and status, and assists Clinical Case Manager where necessary. * Provides psychosocial assessment of patients and consultation regarding treatment issues. * Provides individual, group, and family therapy as needed. * Documents all clinical services provided. * Continuously improves clinical skills. * Maintains professional demeanor in dress, attitude, support of unit milieu, and hospital mission and philosophy. * Maintains mandatory training as required of the position. Job Requirements :: Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Knowledge of rehabilitation and/or neuropsychiatric patient services with children and adolescents. Professional verbal and written skills needed for communicating the patient status, and treatment needs to payers, families, professionals, paraprofessionals employees of the hospital, and members of the patient's community. Able to maintain professional records and patient confidentiality and ability to maintain professional relationships with staff and patients. Knowledge of appropriate assessments, diagnoses, and interventions with patients. Knowledge of milieu management. Able to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families. Skills in preparing and maintaining appropriate medical record documentation. Education: Master's Degree in related field. Licensure/Certification: Current Driver's License or State issued Id. LCSW or LPC preferred, LMSW with 2 years experience. Experience: 2+ years' proven experience in management. Knowledge consistent with the disabilities and ages of patients in TNC programs preferred. Physical/General Requirements: Able to sit or stand while interacting with patients, families, and staff. Able to write/type for extended periods of time. Able to travel between various hospital areas. Able to use telephone for extended periods of time. Able to deal with stressful situations and changing priorities. Able to sustain physical activity eight hours a day. Able to remain on feet eight hours per day. Able to lift, carry, and lower 25 pounds without assistance.
