The Clinical Diagnostic Evaluator conducts diagnostic assessments, initial behavioral health evaluations, and second opinions using standard diagnostic tools. This role involves preparing, administering tests, establishing diagnoses, and producing comprehensive reports in line with clinical best practices.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Clinical Oversight

  • Provides diagnostic assessments and other behavioral treatment/assessment/psychotherapy as assigned.

  • Communicate results to clients and partners.

  • Provide consultations and training to the clinical team as needed.

  • Collaborate on treatment plans with Clinical Managers.

  • Travel for assessments as required.

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

  • Administrative/Operational

  • Enforce Easterseals Northern California policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the local, state, federal, and funder regulatory agency rules.

  • Ensure programmatic compliance with appropriate standards of accreditation and funding agencies.

  • Coordinate with Family of Companies (FoC) departments to ensure successful delivery and application of services in day-to-day operations

  • Maintain necessary continuing education requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to:

  • Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Psychiatrist, or Licensed Doctor of Education in the state of California.

  • Minimum of 1 year psychological assessment experience.

  • Experience with administrating ADOS-2, Mullen Scales of Early Learning, Vineland, and WISC-V required.

  • Experience with VB-MAPP, AFLS, DP-3, and DAS-II preferred.

  • Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations and completing diagnostic reports.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Extensive proficiency in issues of childhood development.

  • Sensitivity to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population.

  • A commitment to the values of the organization while demonstrating good judgment, flexibility, patience, and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.

  • Consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.

  • Exercise confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, twisting.

  • Stand or sit for extended periods of time up to and including 6-8 hours a day.

  • Frequent speaking and listening (25-75%) to clients, staff, and others in the workplace.

  • Visual and auditory ability to work with staff and others in the workplace continuously.

  • Frequent exposure to disability disorders in clients; occasional emergency; occasional exposure to trauma; constant client contacts and decision making; constant concentration required when working with clients

  • Effectively utilize computer, cell phone and/or tablet.

  • Frequent proofreading and checking documents for accuracy.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ). The People & Performance Department must analyze DOJ/FBI live scan reports in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as fitness for the position.

  • Ability to travel to multiple work sites; reliable transportation needed.

  • Must have a valid Driver's License with insurance and maintain a clean driving record.

  • Must pass health screenings, obtain vaccinations and clear TB testing based on company policies.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain credentialing through funding source(s) if applicable.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification.

  • Maintain active psychologist licensure in the State of California.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Safety Care certification.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a CAQH credential.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain NPI number.

  • Must attend all required training.

Time Type:

Full time

Compensation:

$145,000.00 - $155,000.00
