Position Description

Position Title: Clinical Coordinator (RN)

Department: Medical/Oncology

POSITION SUMMARY: Registered nurse with both administrative and clinical responsibilities to designated service area. Works with Director to plan staffing needs and oversee competency of nursing staff in order to ensure safe high quality nursing care is provided. The Clinical Coordinator will provide leadership in growth and development of new services in areas of clinical supervision.

SPECIFIC ELEMENTS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment and leadership in planning, directing, and the provision of nursing care to the patients in accordance with the N.H. Nurse Practice Act, recognized nursing techniques, and clinical and administrative policies.

  • Manage daily operations involving scheduling, making assignments, nurse leader rounding,

and ensuing patient satisfaction

  • Maintain quality audits and monitor daily core measures

  • Provide support for quality and safety initiatives and practices

  • Provide support for the provision of customer service oriented care.

  • Assist Director and manager with unit budget

  • Monitor supply management

  • Maintain expert clinical knowledge of areas within the department

  • Facilitate orientation and competency development

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE: (Minimum relevant work experience for successful job performance)
1 1 to 3 years

EDUCATION:
4 year/Bachelor's Degree

Licensure:

NH Licensed Registered Nurse or valid compact state RN license.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

ACLS

BLS

Other: Chemotherapy Provider Card Preferred
