CMH is in the heart of South Central Virginia serving residents of over 7 counties, including North Carolina due to its location just off the I-85 interstate and its proximity to the NC border. Community Memorial Hospital’s team makes up of experienced Board-Certified physicians, Advanced Practiced Providers, RNs, ED Technicians, Unit Secretaries, and nursing leaders. CMH is certified as Primary Stroke Center and treats a diverse population from newborns to geriatrics.

Community Memorial Hospital’s ED census continues to grow each year and is predicted to hit 26,000 patients by the end of the fiscal year in June. This is a fast-paced environment guaranteed to provide excellent experience for the team member in treating all types of patients from urgent care to critical patients, such as trauma, stroke, sepsis, and STEMI. The community setting of CMH creates a family and patient-centered atmosphere with outstanding teamwork not only within the department, but throughout the entire organization as team members strive to make the patient experience excellent.

The nursing leadership supports continuing education and provides multiple opportunities for team members to advance their knowledge and skills in their nursing practice. CMH is currently expanding their core team to meet the needs of their growing census. The Clinical Coordinator facilitates patient flow, coordinates activities and communication for the clinical area nursing unit during his/her assigned shift.

This person serves as a resource and leader for patients, staff, health care providers, administration and other disciplines. The Clinical Coordinator ensures that patient care is delivered to all patients in an efficient, caring and courteous manner. Job Description Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:

Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible compact state Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: Current RN licensure in Virginia AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent Experience REQUIRED: Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience Charge Nurse experience or supervisory experience Experience PREFERRED:

Academic Health Care experience Experience with similar patient population in either an acute care setting or as applicable to area of practice Education/training REQUIRED: Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program recognized and/or approved by the corresponding state’s Board of Nursing. All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an approved RN to BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete the program within five years of their start date.
