Parham Doctors' Hospital, a campus of Henrico Doctors' Hospital, is located in the west end of Richmond. Parham Doctors' Hospital is a 200-bed facility offering medical and surgical programs including orthopedics, behavioral health, bariatrics, imaging, rehabilitation services, 24-hour emergency care, sleep disorder, podiatry, primary care, and occupational health. The Parham Doctors' Hospital campus is home to The Orthopedic Hospital, one of the most honored joint and spine programs in the state.

About our CCU Critical Care Unit:

  • 14 bed unit.

  • Nurse to patient Ratio 1:2.

  • You will work on a unit that provides continuous 24/7 monitoring of patients who are critically ill with life-threatening injury or diseases.

  • RNs on this unit will utilize their skills in advanced heart monitors, ventilators for breathing assistance, feeding tubes, and catheters.

  • This unit requires a nurse who can perform in a fast pace setting and quickly learn task prioritization and time management with the support of leadership

EXPERIENCE

Required

  • One year experience as RN with demonstrated proficiency leadership and management skills.

Preferred

  • Two years experience as a RN in a charge nurse role.

EDUCATION

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current license to practice as a RN in the State of Virginia.

Preferred

  • Educational programs in nursing management. Currently enrolled in a program of study obtaining a BSN or BS - Business Administration.

Additional information about our Operating Room: * 7 main ORS and 4 outpatient ORs located at on-site surgery center. * Teamwork environment where you will be responsible for helping everyone in department (i.e. Scrub Cases). * On average, 18-19 cases performed per day (approximately 95 cases per week). * A supportive culture focused on fostering educational opportunities and specialty certification. * Leaders on this unit have a passion for supporting Surgical Technologists in reaching their professional goals, excellent practice, and collegial relationships. EXPERIENCE Required - Two years Medical /Surgical Nursing or one year Medical/Surgical Nursing and one year Critical Care Nursing. Preferred - One to two years PACU experience.
