Clinical Coordinator, Phase II, Main Recovery Room

Summary

Performing the operations of the practice, including but not limited to: Scheduling Patients for appointments, procedures, surgeries Coordinating surgical schedules Confirming patient completion of preparation for surgery Answering telephones Triage patient calls for severity/importance Updating patient information in the computer Knowledge in insurances and referrals with accurate billing paperwork for submission Copying medical records Filling out disability forms Readying exam rooms for patients Preparing charts for daily clinics Escorting patients to the exam rooms Pulling charts and x-rays Obtaining precertification of procedure and surgeries Ordering medical and general supplies Organizing patient charts per doctors organization guidelines Processing patient dictation Other related duties regarding daily clinical functions as directed by the practice manager Able to travel to various locations in the Baltimore and metropolitan area Retrieves medications or supplies from secured areas

Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public. Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. • Other Requirements: Must possess skills in scheduling Must be able to accurately type 50 words per minute

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• Education and Work Experience:

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED

• 2-5 YEARS Management Experience as well as knowledge of physician practice operations and understanding of basic computer operations

• Surgical scheduling experience

• Strong organization skills required

• Management experience, computer experience and medical terminology
