Job Description:

Essential Functions:

• Seek additional clinical agencies for student clinical experiences and collaborates with the Assistant Chair of Clinical Operations to make a site visit and evaluate the appropriateness of the agency in meeting the student learning outcomes.

• Consult with the nursing faculty, Assistant Chair of Clinical Operations regarding the level to which clinical experiences are meeting the students' learning needs.

• Communicate with the Assistant Chair of Clinical Operations and Nursing Chair regarding issues related to clinical instructors or agencies as necessary.

• Secure/assign preceptors as needed for the RN and PN students. Secure/schedule student clinical absences.

• Maintain communication with clinical agencies and provides updates to faculty and nursing program administration as necessary.

• Collaborate with the Assistant Chair or Nursing Clinical Operations to provide program orientation for part time clinical assistants upon hire, and help to plan/participate in the part time clinical instructor meeting each semester.

• In collaboration with the Assistant Chair of Nursing Clinical Operations, track student health requirements. (Responsible for 2nd, 3rd, & 4th semester documentation).

• Track clinical affiliation agreements to ensure currency, and update as necessary.

• Provide necessary student information to clinical agencies as required for clinicals/precepting.

• Complete clinical liaison duties as needed per agency

• May be assigned up to two clinicals per academic year at the discretion of the Nursing program administrator.

• Other duties as assigned.
