The department of Clinical Informatics leverages our uniquely equipped

Physician and Nurse Informaticists to promote and improve the utilization ofinnovative technologies consistent with the goals and objectives of clinicaland strategic initiatives of the organization and to support caretransformation. We serve as liaisons between Clinicians and InformationTechnology to align clinical standards with IT standards, and developworkflows, processes and policies. Our teams are located regionally to provideonsite support to our acute hospitals while equally engaged in servingambulatory care, home health, care coordination, Telehealth, Analytics andother initiatives across the care continuum.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Clinical Informatics Department the Clinical ConsultingAnalyst will function as the clinical expert, consultant, leader and educatorto clinical, operational and financial innovation projects to generate value.The Clinical Analyst must be able to work in a dynamic environment, buildingstrong work relationships across the organization with clinical, operationaland administrative stakeholders and teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advises, influences and workscollaboratively with Clinical departments & improvement teams toidentify business needs, analyze workflows, and implement leading edgetechnologies to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Plans, coordinates and monitorsdevelopment, implementation, evaluation and maintenance of assignedprojects.

  • Ability to translate complex ordiverse information into simpler terms and concepts.

  • Manages the impact of newtechnology e.g. wireless networks, point of care devices, instrumentinterfaces, and bar coding to ensure fit with clinical workflowprocesses.

  • Ensures privacy and securityaccess according to policies.

  • Participates in the developmentof end-user communications, curriculum, training plans and tools. Conductsand supports end-user training using formats appropriate to targetaudience.

  • Demonstrated ability tomulti-task and prioritize in accordance with changing deadlines andpriorities. Able to flex work hours based on project requirements.

  • Takes part in the testing andon-site support for system activations and upgrades involving 24/7coverage.

  • Introduce new devices, tools,processes, structures that assist with developing stakeholder knowledgeand management of data in provision of patient care and population health.

  • Ensures accuracy, dataintegrity and validity of data/analysis in all work.

  • Works closely with InformationTechnology Services - both clinical and technical team members through allphases of system configuration, testing, implementation and ongoingsupport.

  • Four (4) years of healthcareexperience required

  • Three (3) years ElectronicMedical Record experience, Epic preferred.

  • Three (3) years of experiencewith a variety of clinical systems & technologies including mobiledevices, remote monitoring, virtual health, analytics and innovationdesirable.

  • Demonstrated experience with

Lean methodology and Project management

  • Demonstrated service excellenceand customer service orientation.

  • Strong leadership skills, priorleadership experience preferred

  • Excellent verbal & writtencommunication skills.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Clinicalspecialty or closely related field required

  • Master's Degree (or advanced)degree in Clinical specialty, Informatics, Business highly desired.

Licensure/ Certification:

  • Current licensure in clinicalfield in the State of Connecticut strongly preferred

  • Specialty Certification byaccredited board in Clinical care, Informatics highly desirable.

JOB SUMMARY The Clinical Resource Leader (CRL) is recognized as the clinical expert in Patient Care Services and a leadership role model for Registered Nurses and all staff under their supervision. Directs the work in such a way to ensure the overall Patient Flow. This position will assign all patient care activities assuring that staff are qualified to care for assigned patients, support team members, and ensure quality and service excellence to our patients. They will also, facilitate challenging situations. The CRL will appropriately assign the workload. Responsible for monitoring, maintaining and developing staff performance. Minimum Requirements Education: Bachelor's Degree in a health related field- a qualified candidate in the process of completing the education requirement will be considered. Experience: Applicable nurse specialty experience of at least 2 years. Charge or supervisory experience required. Licensure, Certification, Registration: Current Connecticut License Registered Nurse/or Connecticut License in clinical specialty. Electronic Fetal Monitoring National Certification (NCC) within two years of hire. Ability to obtain/maintain ACLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 90 days of hire. Completion of basic fetal monitoring class by the end of orientation. Language Skills: Highly effective verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Requirements Education: Master's Degree in health related or business field Experience: At least 3 years of emergency experience. Leadership experience required. Licensure, Certification, Registration: Registered Nurse Core Certification (RNC or RN-BC), Certification in clinical area. Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements Must have demonstrated appropriate clinical knowledge to evaluate and prioritize patient flow issues. Must have demonstrated excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Previous supervisory experience. Ability to set priorities, and supervisory skills to manage a work team Must possess a resilient spirit and unrelenting passion for taking action and making things happen.
