Schedule: 0.8 (32 hours per week),Shift: Nights with weekend rotate


The primary focus of this role is to provide treatments andservices for patients, which do not require state licensure.

Under thedirection of the licensed staff, as a member of the patient care team, this jobwill provide for the hygiene and personal care, nutritional support, vitalsigns, weight, intake and output, specimen collection, ambulation/physicalactivities, postmortem care, basic emergency procedures, oxygen setup, hemoculttesting, fluid collection from measurement drainage systems.

Promotes acooperative working relationship with care team members, physicians, otherdisciplines and the public by facilitating and enhancing communication,displaying honesty and respect, displaying sensitivity to social, cultural andage differences, and expressing and accepting feedback in a professionalmanner. Supports themission, philosophy and goals of Good Samaritan Hospital.

  • Work requires the level of generaleducational development normally acquired through the completion of high schoolor its equivalent. CNA certificate orsuccessful completion of basic nursing skills class.

  • CurrentBasic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • Ability toanswer questions, obtain information from various sources and to solvenon-complex issues.

  • Interpersonalskills necessary in order to communicate effectively with co-workers, patients,families and medical staff

  • Ability toutilize computerized patient care management system. Knowledge of basic computer skills preferred.

  • Ability tounderstand and follow verbal and written instructions. Must read, write and verbally communicate inthe English language.

  • Work isperformed in accordance with established procedures, however incumbents mustorganize work and adapt to rapidly changing tasks and priorities.

  • Mustmaintain confidentiality and privacy according to hospital policy.

  • Ability totranscribe orders, comprehend and communicate complicated verbal and writteninstructions. Perform basic arithmeticcalculations for ordering and charging supplies.

  • Previousexperience with computerized ordering and documentation syste

  • Six months to one year ClinicalSecretary experience preferred.

Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward. * This position is in Santa Cruz, CA* The primary duties of the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Specialist include responsibility for supporting water, wastewater and storm water infrastructure evaluations, condition assessments, process optimization, new facility design reviews, construction management assistance, commissioning, O&M training, and development of facility operations manuals. Consult regarding a broad range of best management practices within water, wastewater, and/or storm water utilities including process optimization, asset management, maintenance management, energy efficiency studies and staff work flows to provide optimum water and wastewater utility services. Primary Responsibilities In the role of Operations Specialist 3, we'll count on you to: * Assist with the development of infrastructure renewal plans. Provide technical expertise in the condition assessment of assets critical to the delivery of water, wastewater, reclaimed water and storm water service. * During planning, provide condition assessment of existing facilities and obtain plant staff input to identify equipment and process problems. * Perform operability reviews of preliminary designs to ensure that criteria such as working space around equipment, general placement of valves and equipment, worker safety and access to equipment for maintenance are addressed. * During design, work with process, electrical and instrumentation engineers to evaluate reliability, redundancy, ease of operation, and life cycle costs of process and equipment alternatives. * Assist with the development of P&IDs and write process control strategies for the efficient operation of treatment plant processes, wastewater lift stations, reclaimed water systems, and water booster pump stations. * During construction, coordinate manufacturer's field services including equipment training. Review and approve equipment O&M manuals. * Develop and provide operator training and assist with component and system testing and commissioning. * Prepare startup plans, schedules and procedures and document results in a construction management environment. * Prepare facility Operations and Maintenance Manuals. Assist the plant staff with post-startup warranty resolution and with process optimization. * Prepare and implement condition assessment procedures for all asset types within water, wastewater, and/or storm water systems. * Evaluate Maintenance and Operational work practices to determine effectiveness in providing core utility functions.
