The OHSU Knight Cancer Institute, known as one of the pioneers in personalized cancer medicine, is an international leader in research and cancer treatment. Driven by its mission to end cancer as we know it, the institute is building upon its expertise in targeted treatments to advance the early detection of cancer when the disease is most treatable.
The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of patient care, outreach, teaching, research, and public service.
It is anticipated the position will be made up of the following components: Clinical, In-Patient Service in the Community Hematology Oncology (CHO) clinic: Meridian Park, and Teaching, Research/Academic.
Function/Duties of Position
Care of patients with oncologic disease in the Community Hematology Oncology (CHO) section of the Division of Hematology & Medical Oncology
Participate with other staff and faculty on disease specific provider teams
Establish and maintain a program of scholarly activity directed toward improved understanding of the causes, detection and treatment of hematologic and oncologic disease
Participate, as desired, in clinical, translational, and bench research activities
Physician leadership experience.

Ability to provide excellent clinical care to cancer patients in the community setting
