About the Team

As part of the Alaska Behavioral Health Child and Family team in Fairbanks, the Clinical Associate engages clients and recipients in case management, therapeutic behavioral health services, and community recovery and support services. With a focus on community services and out-of-clinic service delivery, the Clinical Associate connects families to care both in the clinic and in the community. Through the Mobile Outreach and Crisis Response program, Clinical Associates also work to stabilize at-risk youth in the community as part of a two-person response team with a Clinician. Under the direction of clinical leadership and the clinical team, Clinical Associates support vulnerable individuals through promoting access to care and community resources.

What You'll Do

• Provide outreach and crisis response to youth in the community "where they are at" and work to address barriers to housing and improve social welfare and healthcare access/outcomes.

• Provide case management support to clients in connecting to community resources as well as active skill building, focusing on skills to address functional impairments and to enhance the quality of life

• Assist clients in meeting project goals; to include areas of management of daily routine/skills building, applications for housing, employment/social welfare, healthcare, and referring to needed treatment or community resources.

• Pay Range is $21.00 to $29.47/hour DOE (see below)

• This position is eligible for annual incentive opportunities

• The part-time positions are eligible for paid time off and two floating holidays per year. Both are eligible to participate in an annual incentive plan.

What We Need from You

Clinical Associate II - $21.00 - $27.18

• High school diploma or GED. (Associate Degree applicants greatly encouraged to apply)

• Two years of case management experience working with mentally ill adults in relevant settings such alcohol, drug, developmental disability, physical rehabilitation, etc.

• Valid drivers license with a 5-year clean driving record

Clinical Associate III - $22.78 - $29.47

• Bachelor's degree in a human-services field such as social work, psychology, etc.

• Five years of relevant experience may be substituted for the degree.

• Valid drivers license with a 5-year clean driving record

Preference will be given to candidates who have completed Peer Support Training and have experience in a Clinical Associate/Case Management/Peer Support Role. Additional preference on individuals who have past experience with child mental health service delivery.
