THIS POSITION IS IN MCALESTER OKLAHOMA.

Job Summary:

The Clinical Assistant Professor position will be in the Department of Emergency Medicine. This position is actively involved in patient care and teaching medical students and residents at the various OSU Emergency Medicine hospital contracts. Appropriate effort in scholarly activity and service will be expected. Professional experience of sufficient depth to qualify for faculty appointment at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor is required.

Environmental Hazards:

Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, carry push, and pull 50-100 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required:

  • Requires a DO or MD degree

  • Eligibility for licensure in the state of Oklahoma

  • Board Certification in Emergency Medicine

Skills, Proficiencies, and Knowledge:

Knowledge of all areas related to clinic workflow. The position requires strong analytical skills, advanced multi-tasking skills, and advanced problem-solving skills. Computer skills are needed to operate electronic medical records. Good communication and leadership skills are a positive. Interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with faculty, students, clients, and providers.
