Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (COMD) at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC, invites applicants for two positions of Clinical Assistant Professor in Audiology (12-month appointment, non-tenure track). The COMD department offers graduate-level training to speech-language pathology students. The applicant will provide comprehensive audiology assessment (pediatric and adult), pediatric and adult hearing aid services, and pediatric and adult cochlear implant candidacy evaluations, consultations, and mappings.

There will be an opportunity to participate in research within the department. Clinical and academic teaching is required upon completion of certification and licensure requirements. Requirements: Doctorate of Audiology (AuD), eligibility for ASHA certification, culminating in receipt of the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), and a South Carolina license to practice or eligible for South Carolina Licensure.

Required Education and Experience

Doctorate of Audiology (AuD), eligibility for ASHA certification, culminating in receipt of the CCC, and a South Carolina license to practice or eligible for South Carolina Licensure. Clinical and academic teaching is required.
