Looking to make an impact in the lives of children, adolescents and their families living with Autism? New England ABA, a leading provider of ABA therapy in the Greater Boston area, is currently seeking a part-time Clinical Assessor to provide initial assessments to incoming clients!

This position is a perfect fit for an experienced LABA who enjoys crafting initial treatment plans for clients and families but does not currently have the availability to commit to oversee cases on an ongoing basis The Clinical Assessor is able to schedule home and community-based assessment visits directly with each family, making for flexible, and on-demand scheduling.

The Clinical Assessor is responsible for working directly with new clients to complete the initial clinical assessment process before they begin ABA services. The responsibilities includes, but are not limited to, scheduling meetings with the client, traveling to the client home, and completing the final assessment report.

Job requirements

  • Current licensed applied behavior analyst (LABA) in the state of Massachusetts required.

  • BCBA preferred

  • 2-5 years working directly with children and adolescents with ASD required.

  • Experience with VB, PECS, DTT, PRT and ESDM a plus.

The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse with clinical expertise who will effectively manage, develop and communicate with the Complex Care Team, will ensure patient satisfaction and delivery of quality patient care, and provide documentation to meet patient, legal and reimbursement, and all other applicable agency requirements. Essential Functions: Monitors and evaluates complex patient population census, trends, processes and outcomes. Develops, implements and monitors clinical protocols to achieve desired outcomes. Communicates with appropriate individuals regarding the complex care programs and ensures clinical field staff are aware of the complex care program by actively promoting and training staff during orientation and through ongoing activities. Works collaboratively with External Relations to develop program materials and market the complex care and care transition programs. Develops and implements Standards of Practice in collaboration with the Director of Specialty Clinical Programs Evaluates the program#s need for data collection and develops and updates weekly, monthly and program reports. Ensures Program services meet the agency#s objectives. Ensures prompt follow up with the patient with abnormal results from tele-monitoring to arrange appropriate follow up. Keeps primary clinicians informed of patient status. Assures that Complex Care staff complete all appropriate documentation needed for submission to vendors. Monitors trends and utilization of resources to make recommendations. Communicates effectively with and supervises Complex Care team staff Communicates effectively and maintains positive working relationships with other members of the health care team, administration and other departments and with patients, families and referral sources. Participates in case conferences, Interdisciplinary Team Meetings and facilitates Complex Care Rounds Ensures compliance within guidelines set forth by regulatory agencies (JCAHO, DPH, ERISA, etc.) and demonstrates compliance with Home Health Foundation policies and procedures. Practices confidentiality principles set by the agency and federal HIPAA guidelines. Completes other duties as assigned. # Required Education and Experience: BSN required (Master#s preferred) with 5 years cardiac experience or equivalentHome care experience desired and must be clinically competent to provide direct patient care. Telephone triage experience desired RN license in Massachusetts and New Hampshire Ability to read/write in English Excellent interpersonal skills.
