Job Description: Summary-The incumbent performs quality management processes on document-based reviews for contracted services.-Conducts quality management processes on assessments completed by contracted field assessors and/or other clinical reviewers to ensure assessments adhere to state-directed criteria.-Attends and participates in scheduled contract, committee, and all-staff meetings.-Cross-trains with another Quality Coordinator within the company as identified by the Division Manager.-Performs other job duties as assigned.Licensed Mental Health Counselor, licensed in New YorkMinimum of 2 years of experience working with persons with a variety of physical and behavioral health needs

Working knowledge of the SSA Sequential Evaluation process

Ability to perform all job duties in compliance with Person First standards, HIPAA guidelines and company policies

Working knowledge and understanding of behavioral health diagnoses, psychotropic medications, medical diagnoses and prescribed medications

Works on assignments that are routine in nature, with responsibilities easily learned on the job.Acquires job skills and learns applicable policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.Able to read, understand & perform assignments within prescribed guidelines.Communicates routine information in a clear and accurate way with internal & external contacts.Excellent knowledge of diverse cultures and issues, with the ability to incorporate special needs into utilization review decisions

Excellent ability to multitask while effectively performing job duties, which include prioritizing tasks; ensure all voice mail and email messages are monitored and responded to within 2 business hours of receipt

Ability to work independently, as well as within a team while exhibiting excellent interpersonal skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to interact professionally and collegially with providers (hospital & nursing facility, physicians, community service workers, etc.), state contract officers, and coworkers while seeking or providing information

Ability to collect data, define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions for supporting a superior written rationale for review determination

Excellent computer skills with experience in word processing, email and spreadsheets {Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel preferred); ability to work with dual computer monitors, research information on the internet, utilize company resources/ tools stored on company

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience.

  • Advanced degree or professional designation preferred.

  • Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems.

  • Work requires considerable judgment and initiative.

  • Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.

VIEW JOBS 2/20/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-20T00:00 Job Description On behalf of American Institutes for Research (AIR), Headway Workforce Solutions is seeking Part-Time Child Assessors to work on a Pre-Kindergarten research study in Queens, NY. Part-Time Child Assessors will conduct assessments of children's language and literacy skills with students attending New York City's 4-year-old Pre-Kindergarten program in schools and community-based sites. This position starts at $28 per hour based on experience level. American Institutes for Research (AIR) is a behavioral and social science research organization. AIR's overriding goal is to use the best science available to bring the most effective ideas and approaches to enhancing everyday life. As a Part-Time Child Assessor, you will: * Assist with the collection of parent permission forms * Work with teachers and schools to schedule child assessment visits * Conduct standardized individual child assessments * Work between 20-25 hours per week during daytime school hours * Complete and return all assignments and assessment data according to required deadlines * Strictly adhere to AIR's and the school district's procedures to protect the privacy of children and families * Regularly attend a weekly, online meeting to provide updates on current progress (currently scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Thursdays) * Maintain contact with AIR's data collection coordinator and other project team members in a timely and professional manner Requirements of a Part-Time Child Assessor: * Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in education, child development, psychology, or related field, or equivalent knowledge of early childhood education; Master's Degree preferred * Demonstrated experience in school-based settings, particularly working with preschool and/or elementary school age children. Familiarity with implementing standardized assessment procedures is a plus * Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain organized computer-based files and records * Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows required.
