Home Health Foundation is currently looking for a dynamic Clinical Applications Specialist.
####The Clinical Applications Specialist is responsible for software support and the education of end users to the Electronic Medical Record
, as well as problem solving issues related to the software or laptops used in the field. The Clinical Applications Specialist reports to the Clinical Information systems Manager and assists the Director of IT with routine IT operations.
Electronic Medical Record responsibilities: Stays current and is proficient in use of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). User account maintenance in EMR assigning appropriate security levels, creation and termination of accounts. Troubleshooting and resolution of EMR issues on site or escalation of incidents by logging service requests and with HCHB and ensures resolution.
Review synchronization logs and Pointcare versions to proactively identify issues of data. Custom report design, report modifications and report maintenance. Review of EMR updates and reporting of impact to the Organization including regulatory updates and timelines for implementation.
Collaborates with Education Coordinator and management staff regarding EMR software training needs as indicated. Information Technology responsibilities: Assist with logging incidents with HHF Help Desk calls to HHF IT Help Desk or appropriate service provider as needed.
Provides timely support and resolution of issues to end users and logs all incidents or requests in IT ticket software. Assists in maintaining computer and equipment inventory. Assists in ensuring the security of user accounts, electronic data and computers.
Supports HHF IT in ensuring computers are appropriately configured. Assists with setting up organizational equipment for presentations or meetings. Qualifications:
BS Degree in IT or clinical degree or a Bachelor#s degree in Nursing or Therapy with Electronic Medical Record and basic Information Technology experience.
Experience working in a health care setting preferred. Experience with Home Care Home Base Home Health and/or Hospice preferred. Ability to think clearly and critically.# Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
Excellent time management abilities; skilled at managing detailed information. Strong ability to learn and adapt to new and software applications, processes and procedures. # #
