Clinical Analyst

Job Purpose:

The Clinical Analytics Team is looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented candidate to support our growing payor contracting initiatives. The Clinical Analyst will report to the Manager of Clinical Analytics and will play a pivotal role in expanding access to Shields clinical and specialty pharmacy services for thousands of chronically ill patients across our partner hospitals and health networks. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about harnessing data to drive positive outcomes for patients in need, motivated to learn the intricacies of this growing sector of the healthcare industry, and excited by the opportunity to take ownership of a critical business function.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develops and implements operational and clinical reports in cooperation with the Payor Contracting Team.
• Manages quarterly payor planning initiatives and communication between the Clinical Analytics Team, the Payor Contracting Team, and other partner teams as needed
• Maintains a suite of database objects and scheduled Python processes to ensure accurate and timely production of critical reporting.
• Actively participates in optimization of reporting processes, communication plans, standard operating procedures, and documentation methods to ensure efficient reporting operations.
• Approaches tasks with a proactive, customer-focused, and process-oriented mindset.
• Collaborates with teammates to develop institutional knowledge and expertise in technical best practices.
• Supports Analytics workstreams within organization as needed.
• Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.

Experience / Education:

• Applicant must hold a Bachelor's degree
• Required 2+ years years experience working with healthcare data
• Required proficiency in SQL (preferably PostgreSQL) and Microsoft Excel. Preferred proficiency in Python.
• Organized, high-integrity, attention to detail, dependable, quality focus, empathetic, good listener/communicator
• Energetic, highly motivated, team player with strong personal and communication skills; discretion and confidentiality essential as position deals with highly sensitive and private data
