The Clinical Administrative Director (CAD) for the Endoscopy Center is part of the Division of Internal Medicine. In this nursing leadership role, the CAD has oversight of a multidisciplinary staff.

Responsibilities include oversight of all patient care operations within the Center, strategic planning, marketing, financial management, human resource management, operations management, quality and safety initiatives, regulatory compliance, and facilities and physical asset management. The CAD also develops and maintains collegial and collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders across the institution to positively impact the center's operations and patient care outcomes.

Requirements include:

  • Eight years of clinical experience with two of the eight in a management position over direct patient care activities.

  • Educational and licensure requirements include a Master's degree in Nursing or a business or related field (or Doctor of Nursing Practice) and a current Nursing license (RN/APRN) or PA license.

VIEW JOBS 12/4/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-04T00:00 We are seeking a visionary and impactful candidate who will be responsible for all communications, outreach, and education activities to help the Translational Research Institute (TRI) execute its mission of safeguarding optimal health and performance of humans exploring deep space. TRI is based at Baylor College of Medicine, funded by NASA, and charged with identifying and funding disruptive health and human performance approaches and technologies to reduce risks to humans on long-duration space missions, including NASA's Deep Space Gateway. The Candidate will be a key member of the small management team and responsible for developing and implementing effective communication campaigns that will attract partners, scientists, and trainees from the private, public, and government sectors both nationally and globally. This person must be able to work with Institute scientists and trainees to distill highly technical content into memorable and actionable material suitable for a lay audience. This visionary and bold individual will craft the Institute's public voice by developing compelling content and collaborating with the BCM Office of Communications to disseminate to media. The mission of the TRI is to lead a national effort in translating cutting edge emerging terrestrial research into applied space flight human risk mitigation strategies for exploration missions. TRI was founded in 2016 and works in partnership with NASA's Human Research Program through a Cooperative Agreement and Cooperative Agreement Management Plan. TRI's headquarters is located in the Texas Medical Center Innovation Institute (TMCx). TRI is led by BCM with partners including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the California Institute of Technology. This individual will have an understanding and passion for space, science, technology, or health. This person must be an action-oriented, self- motivated leader who is highly independent. A successful candidate will have a history of successfully completing complex campaigns on schedule and within budget. We are looking for a creative and inventive person who is politically astute and socially savvy. * Craft and implement strategies for all outreach, communications, and education campaigns nationally and globally. * Inform the TRI executive team of significant social and business trends that may offer opportunities for the Institute. * Advise on improvements for internal team workflow communications strategies and tools. * Lead production and authoring of rich content for digital properties, social media, print and presentations. * Manage and monitor all social media feeds and analyze data metrics, working in coordination with the social media manager in the Office of Communications. * Develop collateral materials using BCM best practices guidelines. * Work with the Head of Information Technology at the TRI to develop an online community open to hundreds of external users including our trainees. * Foster engagement in online community by developing and regularly posting content and directly communicating with members. * Oversee and contribute to the strategy, storyboard, scripts, production and post production of video media. * Coordinate with the BCM Office of Communications for press opportunities related to the TRI activities. * Demonstrate the ability to translate technical and scientific data into well-crafted stories and content for the website and presentations, providing an accessible story for government, Fortune 500 executives, or the general public. * Ensure adherence with BCM policies and overall mission. * Work with BCM Web Development and external vendors on the Institute website and generate content on a regular basis to keep it fresh. * Serve as a representative of the TRI in external settings and public events. * Stay abreast of various space, health, and technology events and topics and look for opportunities for cross promotion. * Attend and help coordinate networking events or conferences as needed. * Recommend, evaluate, select, and manage all outside vendors related to communications activities, working through BCM's supply chain structure and in coordination with the Office of Communications. * Help develop content for Institute quarterly or annual reports or presentations to NASA and other stakeholders as needed. * Track TRI trainee progress and accomplishments. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related fields. * At least 7 years of experience working in communications, marketing or related fields * Experience using: Google Analytics; Social Analytics and Publishing (Sprout Social, Simply Measured, Hootsuite); Social platforms (YouTube, Google+, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Instagram and more); CRM tools (Freshdesk, Zendesk, Salesforce); Email marketing tools(MailChimp; Constant Contact); Website CMS (Wordpress); Presentation tools (Keynote, Prezi, Powerpoint); Internal communications tools (Slate, etc.) * Efficient project management skills * Comfortable using digital technology platforms * Highly 'plugged- in' individual aware of current social and business trends and political events which may have implications for the Institute * Flexible and able to prioritize duties in fast-paced and changing environment * Exquisite written communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills; Preferred: * Content generation and editing ranging from photography, videography, editing, graphic design, Microsoft PowerPoint, Apple Keynote, and/or Desktop publishing.
