JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Transition position provides guided orientation for newly graduated Registered Nurses to help integrate and apply medical knowledge and sharpen technical skills specific to Ambulatory Care. #Provides safe, quality nursing care for patients within scope of practice, under the direction of Samaritan Health Services clinicians and Clinic Leadership. Assists clinicians in performance of procedures, telephone prescription orders/refills, maintaining patient record and relaying test results. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Primary Care teams at Samaritan Health Services offer complete health care for all family members from newborns to seniors through their pediatric, family medicine and internal medicine providers. They encourage and offer preventive care, including annual exams, health screenings and counseling regarding health and lifestyle. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Current unencumbered Oregon RN licensure required. Healthcare Provider BLS required. Experience or training with computer applications preferred.
