Clinic Manager
Job Purpose:
The Clinic Manager provides leadership, oversight, and accountability to a clinic-based patient services team based in Phoenix, AZ. This position functions as a working supervisor and provides coverage in the event of staffing shortages and will develop and implements strategies for meeting clinic objectives in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage a team of clinic support staff to deliver primary, behavioral health, and psychiatric care to patients
Provide training and guidance to ensure team understands clinic protocols, procedures, and practices
Provide personnel supervision and performance management
Identify performance gaps and guide team towards meeting expected goals
Determine staffing standards based on patient care needs, workflow, and other relevant clinical factors
Responsible for recruitment, hiring, and retention of clinic support team staff
Perform quarterly evaluations for each member of the support team
Monitor clinic and patient workflows, productivity and provides process improvement ideas for staff
Create and foster a teamwork environment by demonstrating open communication between all departments
Act as a liaison with providers, support teams, and other departments to coordinate and implement patient-focused care
Ensure all policies and procedures function in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations
Receive and resolve patient concerns
Partner with Quality and Compliance departments to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements for clinic staff, including maintenance and equipment calibrations
Ensure the clinic meets performance standards (provider schedules, collections, no-shows, patient wait times, patient experience, and billing)
Requirements:
Medical Assistant (MA) certificate or completion of a CAAHEP accredited/medical assisting program; RN, LPN, or CNA license preferred
2-4 years' experience managing a medical practice; 2 years' experience in behavioral health setting preferred
Minimum 5-year supervisory experience
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, demonstrating professional writing skills
Excellent communication skills virtually and in person
Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and work independently
Basic to intermediate knowledge of customer service protocols and engagement strategies
Valid and current CPR, First Aid Certification, and an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card
Knowledge of, and ability to use, electronic record keeping
