The Clinical Applications Analyst II (Radiant) provides advanced support of the Epic Radiant application related to the acquisition and use of assigned Clinical application/systems modules. In performing duties and tasks, the incumbent applies specific Radiology clinical and workflow knowledge, to ensure effective and optimal use of the Radiant module, incorporation of enhancements or process improvements, all in collaboration with senior members of MHS' Clinical implementation/support teams. The Clinical Applications Analysts may participate and occasionally lead any phase of both large and small projects; is accountable for the success of assigned tasks; operate assigned system modules; and assist with user understanding of Radiant and impacted applications. The Clinical Applications Analyst also functions as a point of user contact for Information Services and Imaging Department leadership, and is accountable for specific customer/user satisfaction. Individuals within this job classification may also assist with specific Clinical Training materials, educating staff, physicians and others as such are related to relevant information systems and services.

The incumbent will be expected to collaborate and work with teams that impact the Radiant module, as well as teams impacted by Radiant related build, in both workflow and technical analysis.

  • Understanding of key Imaging Department business applications and related information technologies.

  • Understanding of Imaging Department clinical and operational workflows.

  • Two to three years' experience as a programmer/analyst, systems analyst, technical specialist, or equivalent clinical experience.

  • Good analytical, logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Good communications skills, both verbal and written.

  • Great team collaboration skills.

  • High energy levels and tolerance of tight deadlines, time pressures, and uncertainty.

  • Working knowledge of the Epic Radiant application with "Certification" and/or "Proficiency" status pending (ability to attain certification within 6 months of hire if applicable).

  • Working knowledge of PCs, collaborative computing tools, re-engineering/process improvement techniques, healthcare information management, general information architectures and technology, systems integration, laws, and regulations relevant to assigned applications.

Education

Bachelor'sdegree in Computer Science or Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics,and/or licensed healthcare professional desirable.

Working knowledge of the Epic Radiant applicationwith "Certification" and/or "Proficiency" status pending (ability to attaincertification within 6 months of hire if applicable).

Uses own clinical/access and/or operational background to construct needs assessments, develop training curriculum and tools, schedule and execute sessions to meet the goals above. Works with internal/external vendors to provide supplemental and on-going training programs to end users as needed. Essentia Functions and Responsibilities of the Job * Assists with the development and provision of content for use in the development of instructor-led training (ILT) and web-based training (WBT) curriculum. * Reviews and updates training curriculum including reference tools, practice exercises and skill assessments utilizing a variety of formats. * Achieves a high level of expertise and competence in the proper operation and optimal use of assigned Epic applications. Draws on own background to consult and advise end users, management, physicians, and others concerning the purpose, features, functions and proper uses of applications. * Analyzes unit and department workflows and provides system tools for identified efficiencies. * Uses experiences to assist in the analysis of potential application modifications, upgrades, replacements, extensions, or additions that result from changing business conditions or the availability of new technology. * Adheres to training/developing practices, instructional design methodology, environment build and maintenance and tools for every situation to ensure the appropriateness and timeliness of actions. * Increases end user competence and use of MemorialCare technology tools. * Be at work and be on time. * Follow company policies, procedures and directives. * Interact in a positive and constructive manner. * Prioritize and multitask. Experience * Minimum of two to three years patient care or patient access and financial experience. * Working knowledge of specific EMR applications/modules with "Certification" and/or "Proficiency" status pending as is appropriate to specific vendors such as Epic. Ability to attain certification within 6 months of hire if applicable. * Experience in instructional education, training and/or customer service desirable. * Must possess excellent organizational, presentational and listening/verbal skills. * Must be able to work independently as well as in a team situation and meet aggressive deadlines. * Must excel in a fast-paced environment and be self-motivated. * Must be available for limited travel. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products preferred. * Proficiency in Adobe Captivate desirable. Education * RN license for clinical trainers is preferred for hospital based training. * Bachelor's degree or equivalent operational experience in a health care or information technology related area is desirable.
