Title: Climate Change Resilience Unit Planning Team

Description:

PPS has received a grant to engage in community-based projects around climate change resilience (https://www.nj.gov/education/grants/opportunities/2023/23-WB01-G02.shtml) and is seeking an early childhood unit planning team. The unit planning team will design an urban gardening unit plan for PreK - Grade 3 students according to the following grant requirements:

• Written in UDL format

• Developmentally appropriate for early childhood grades

• Involve families

• Include at least 4 lessons for students and their families

• Address climate change resilience through urban gardening

Salary:

Two stipends for up to 3 teachers:

Summer Unit Planning: $1129

Community Events (3 events - Oct, Dec. And Feb): $565 (includes facilitating the event and preparation)

Certification: Appropriate NJ Certification; experience working with early childhood students preferred

Report to: Supervisor of Early Childhood

Period: July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025
