About the role:

As a successful Strategic Client Success Partner at Sterling, you are responsible for managing the day to day screening program for your book of business. As a strategic adviser to your accounts, you will help to expand the Sterling footprint with your customers and work diligently to develop and enhance resilient client relationships. Our primary goal is to provide hiring peace of mind by delivering a simple, smarter background screening and on-boarding experience for employers worldwide, and we'd be honored if you'd join us.

This Is What You'll Do:

  • Be a strategic advisor to your clients & be the "go to" person for their strategic account needs

  • Become an expert in your dedicated vertical markets and utilize your subject matter expertise to understand each client's organizational dynamics

  • Identify and develop multi-level relationships with key decision makers to ensure retention and relationship stability

  • Maintain full ownership of a book of business, up to 20 accounts

  • Navigate complex issues, both technical and non-technical, and use sound judgment and data to make decisions that are best for our clients

  • Conduct regular business reviews using value add propositions to mitigate client risk and enhance background screening programs

  • Monitor and analyze development and strategic progression for all client accounts

  • Map client business requirements to Sterling's technology capabilities, identifying gaps, omissions, and process optimizations

  • Based upon individual customer's needs, tailor engagement style & tactics for best fit

  • Champion successful customer outcomes and innovate ways to improve our customer implementation processes

  • Create strategic account plans as a road map to grow customer revenue and deliver world class client satisfaction

  • Grow customer book of business driven by existing revenue retention and closing new business

  • Implement long term contract agreements with clients to review and grow revenue

  • Propose additional products and services to expand footprint within existing accounts

This Is What We're Looking For:

  • Requires 7+ years of Client Success Partner (or Account Management) experience supporting enterprise level clients with B2B tech enabled/SaaS solutions, ideally within the HCM or background services industries

  • Experience working within the Financial Services Industry is a big plus

  • Proven success in strategic account management/client success/sales experience (Ideal experience working with all levels of HR departments as well as "C Suite")

  • Ability to effectively communicate with senior level decision makers within organizations and successfully handle objections

  • Superior program management, presentation and negotiation skills

  • Demonstrated expertise with CRM Platforms and SaaS environments focused on optimizing client integrations and achieving high levels of client satisfaction

  • Superior motivational capabilities & people skills that inspire clients and drives collaboration across multiple layers of an organization

  • Excellent communication skills that deliver clear messages and create positive and impactful experiences for clients

  • 4-year degree strongly preferred

  • Ability to travel approximately 25%
