Client Service Representative

We are looking for a Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our team as we launch our BRAND-NEW hospital -- VCA Knapp's Corner Animal Hospital!

The creation of VCA Knapp's Corner focused on two essential elements: our patients and our clients. This will provide a distinctive approach to ensuring that our clients receive the best possible experience!

Location: 2078 E Beltline Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525

Compensation: $ 16- $ 18/ hour. Compensation is negotiable based on experience.

Schedule: This is a full-time position. Starting hours for hospital operations will be Monday

• Friday 8:00 am

• 5:00 pm (Saturdays TBD), with the goal of expanding our availability to the community as much as possible as we grow.

Skills:

As a CSR you will set the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each client's trust and confidence in our abilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.

• Scheduling and confirming appointments.

• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.

• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.

• Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.

• Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).

• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.

• Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that the facility is neat and clean at all times-both inside and outside.

Qualifications

• Veterinary experience preferred, but not required.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

• Willingness to jump in as needed

• Able to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

• Comfortable asking for help and clarification when needed

• Possess high attention to detail
