VCA Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals is look to add a Client Service Representative to join our one-of-a-kind emergency practice.

Our hospital has been serving the Milwaukee community for over 10 years. We are a 24-hour emergency and critical care hospital that sees a unique case load of dogs, cats and exotics, and believe in providing the highest quality care to our patients.

Job Duties

The Client Service Representative serves as the face of the hospital, and is the first point of contact for all pet owners, patients and referring veterinarians. This role is crucial in keeping the hospital running smoothly. Job responsibilities include:

  • Answering incoming phone calls and placing outbound calls to clients and referring veterinarians

  • Greeting and checking-in patients upon arrival at the hospital

  • Facilitating hospital communications, acting as a liaison between clients and medical staff

  • Managing medical records, reports, and related correspondence

  • Discussing fees and estimates with pet owners, and processing payment transactions

  • Maintaining a clean and welcoming environment within the hospital

Schedule

Part-time, 2 to 3 shifts per week. Scheduling has some flexibility and can be discussed upon interview; the primary shift needs are:

  • Shift time- 10:00am to 8:00pm

  • Days- Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday

  • Alternating weekends and holidays are required

Qualifications

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable individual that enjoys a fast-paced environment and values the ability to learn and grow within their role. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Superior customer service abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Working knowledge of computers and multi-line phone systems

  • High level of professionalism and discretion in dealing with sensitive patient situations

  • Sound decision making and multi-tasking abilities

  • Previous experience in customer service is required; experience in a veterinary or medical setting is strongly preferred.
