LabCorp seeking a Service Representative/Courier to join our team in City, State. In this position, you will be responsible for the pickup, transport and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies and reports, while providing excellent service to our clients.

Included with this position is a company vehicle to use for the route. In addition, for only $100 per month, you will have the option of taking this vehicle home with you and using it for personal use. If you choose to use the company vehicle for personal use all gas, tolls and maintenance are covered by the company.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Load all necessary suppliers needed for the daily pickups

  • Complete daily pick up schedule in a timely manner

  • Deliver all daily picks to your branch at the end of your shift

  • Handle all specimens and lab samples in safe and efficient manner

  • Safely operate company vehicle and obey all traffic laws

  • Utilize handheld electronic device to manage daily picks up

  • Work directly with dispatcher for additional pick-ups as needed

  • Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes and weather conditions as needed

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Must have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record

  • Must be at least 21 years' old

  • Previous driver/courier experience is preferred

  • Customer service experience is a plus

  • Very punctual with strong time management skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to problem solve customer issues

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

The position is in the General Government Unit (GGU) at a range 10. What will you be doing Working as part of the fast paced DMV public service team examining documentation presented in order to issue multiple types of identification documents. The MVCSR 1 will interact directly with the public often times explaining policies, statutes and regulations. The working environment you can expect The position is located at the DMV's main office on Old Seward Hwy in Anchorage and one for a vehicle specialist for Eagle River location. The MVCSR 1 will be assigned to a work station in the public service lobby. The MVCSR 1 will typically rotate weekly between work stations based on business needs . The hours are 9:00 - 5:00 Monday through Friday with overtime opportunities. Who we are looking for To be successful in the position, the ideal candidate will possess the following core competencies: * Excellent Customer Service - Demonstrates professional and friendly customer service while handling a wide range of situations and demographics.  * Cash Handling and Keyboarding Skills - Ability to accurately and efficiently enter information into multiple databases and correspond clearly through email both internally and with the public. Accept correct payment in the form of cash, check, credit card and return change when needed accurately. * Multi-Tasking - Ability to multi-task by reviewing documents, data entering information while communicating verbally with customers in a loud open concept office setting. To truly excel in this position, the ideal candidate will have or develop the following competencies: * Work Independently - Demonstrate independence by finding efficiencies, making decisions and minor problem solving.  If this sounds like your skill set, or one you would like to develop, please submit an application through Workplace Alaska.  Six months of employment experience that included cash handling and working directly with clients or customers. Examples of qualifying experience include such work as sales cashier, bank teller, food service wait staff or cashier, and so on. Substitution: Postsecondary education from an accredited college may substitute for the required experience. (Three semester hours or four quarter hours equal one month.) Special Note: A background check of criminal justice information will be conducted upon initial employment. A candidate's ability to perform alphanumeric data entry is one of the areas evaluated during the hiring process. Candidates selected for an interview will be required to provide the results of an alphanumeric data entry skill test conducted within the previous six months.
