Full-Time (Permanent)Examination Number: EX1012 Location:%3Co:p%3EEssential Functions and Responsibilities:%3Co:p%3E ●Responsible for supervising subordinate staff that interviews all incoming inmates for two detention facilities. ●Work with law enforcement and court agencies concerning the processing of incoming and outgoing inmates. ●Assist courts and local service agencies with referrals for programs based on needs and risk assessments. ●Select inmate workers for positions throughout the facility. ●Meet and share information with Medical, Mental health and Corrections staff in relation to providing services to the inmate. ●Work with multiple facilities and agencies concerning the management of the population of inmates in two facilities. ●Interviewing, selecting and training classification of staff. ●Assist the training academy with training of cadets on areas related to the inmate population. ●Train Classifications, Social Service and Security staff on the use of computerized jail management programs.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities ●Data Utilization: Requires the ability to perform mid-level data analysis including the ability to audit, deduce, assess, conclude and appraise.

Requires discretion in determining and referencing such established criteria to define consequences and develop alternatives. ●Human Interaction: Requires the ability to provide first-level professional counseling to clients and/or patients. ●Equipment, Machinery, Tools and Materials Use: Requires the ability to operate, maneuver and/or provide simple but continuous adjustment on equipment, machinery and tools such as a computer, and/or materials used in performing essential functions. ●Verbal Aptitude:

Requires the ability to utilize a variety of advisory data and information such as performance appraisals, case summaries, budgetary plans, policy manuals, professional journals, statutes, procedures, guidelines and non-routine correspondence. ●Mathematical Aptitude:
