Client Reporting Analyst

job summary:

Large Financial Service headquartered in Boston, has teamed up with Randstad Profesisonals of Boston to locate a Client Reporting Analyst to bring on the team and add value. This position has permanent potential starting off full time for a minimum of 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement new processes to support client reporting requirements

  • Draft and maintane policies/ procedures to support reporting requirements

  • Prepare, validate, adn deliver in a timely manner

  • Verify information needed to create client reports, management reports, and audit requests

  • Manage reporting deadlines

  • Apply financial and operational control to mitigate risk

  • Participate in testing investment system upgrades/ process changes

Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Good verbal and written skills

  • experience working with derivative products, futures, repos and asset

  • High attention to detail

  • Organizational skills

  • Understanding Various investment instruments

VIEW JOBS 12/3/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-03T00:00 POSITION SUMMARY The Financial Reporting Analyst prepares drafts of annual, semi-annual and quarterly financial statements and regulatory filings (CIMA/FAR and Form PF) for hedge and private equity funds. The position provides support to senior team members and managers in connection with general fund financial information and completes various projects as assigned by the Financial Administration Manager. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Financial Reporting * Draft annual and quarterly financial statements and regulatory filings such as CIMA/FAR and Form PF for hedge and private equity funds, as well as timetable calendars for such statements. * Work with the Fund Administration Manager in procedures manuals preparation. * Report and communicate performance data to fund management and industry publications. * Develop and maintain a working familiarity with applicable laws, regulations and interpretations governing financial statements and disclosure, including the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Internal Revenue Code, GAAP and other applicable requirements. * Maintain awareness of regulatory changes effecting funds. * Communicate appropriately with the Fund Reporting Supervisor with respect to all timetables and workflow, and communicating to the extent appropriate about all relevant matters with other department members within BBH. Technology/Innovation/Productivity * Evaluate and suggest enhancements to Eagle STAR (BBH's Fund Accounting system) and Unity (BBH's Fund Reporting system) to automate procedures for financial reporting and compliance purposes. * Communicate appropriately with the Financial Reporting Supervisor with respect to all timetables and workflow. Teamwork * Perform special projects as directed by the Fund Reporting Supervisor. * Assist in the review of work completed by junior level staff members with regard to internal policies, procedures and systems as required. POSITION SCOPE Education level and/or relevant experience(s) * BA/BS degree and/or equivalent work experience; Business related concentration is preferable. * 3 to 5 years mutual fund accounting/reporting or related mutual fund experience including 1 to 2 years of prior financial reporting and alternative investment experience. Knowledge and skills (general and technical) * Highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated. * Proven ability to problem solve and recommend solutions. * Strong aptitude for accuracy and attention to detail. * Capable of monitoring and completing a variety of projects simultaneously. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Strong interpersonal skills. * Willingness and ability to work in a client-driven, deadline-oriented environment.
