Mercer has an exciting opportunity available and is recruiting for a Client Portfolio Manager to work with our Delegated Clients.

What can you expect?

Oversee client servicing and relationship management for a specific group of delegated investment services clients (Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit, Not For Profit) including drafting of investment guidelines, development of marketing messages, portfolio trading, and asset allocation/portfolio structuring analyses.

Flexible on Location, the appropriate candidate may be located in any of the locations listed!

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Attend quarterly client meetings with a US national footprint, including making presentations to investment committees and introducing new investment strategies as initiated.

  • Provide internal and external support for a select group of delegated investment services clients that have customized portfolios and/or are primarily serviced by investment consultants; orchestrate changes in such client portfolios as required by serving as a critical link between investment consultants and the delegated investment services group.

  • Represent the delegated investment philosophy and processes at prospect meetings working with the Investments sales force.

  • Determine and lead the positioning of additional Mercer or MMC corporate solutions to expand existing delegated investment services relationships.

  • Assist with new client transitions including the coordination of asset management and trust/custody relationships to Mercer's platform.

What qualifications are necessary to have for the role?

  • 15+ years of related experience.

  • Bachelors, Masters or CFA preferred.

The Sr. Portfolio Administration Manager is also responsible for overseeing the day to day activities at the client level and being the first point of escalation for any questions or concerns that arise from the client or senior leadership. Job Description * Manage or provide account oversight for Portfolio Administration for a multitude of accounts * Oversee associates/managers and operations on a day-to-day basis ensuring work is completed and deadlines are met * Provide leadership to staff with the goal of maximizing technology resources and improving processes * Provide direction, coaching, and career development to assigned staff * Provide new team integration and recruiting support including the interviewing and onboarding process * Develop training and ensure all training and continuing education needs are met for each associate and manager * Create and maintain trust and strong relationships with team members, leadership, and clients * Ensure account needs are met while following the scope outlined in the client service agreements * Complete monthly billing for Portfolio Administration services for assigned clients * Provide superior client service to internal and external clients * Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to drive continual improvements in efficiency of services performed * Continuously seek business expansion opportunities with existing clients and develop those opportunities * Outline or oversee the continuous updates to the process playbooks * Provide timely and accurate reporting to senior leadership and clients * Handle or oversee monthly rent and other critical reporting for clients and senior leadership * Partner with the Transition and Abstraction/Quality Control teams to onboard new accounts quickly and smoothly * Provide regular feedback to leadership regarding issues, challenges, and areas for additional focus * Execute high profile projects that will require special attention and reporting as assigned by senior leadership * Assist senior leadership with client tours, business development, or client visits * Collaborate with other divisions and Client entities including Transaction Management, Facilities Management, Construction/Design, legal, etc. as needed * Support and assist with department and companywide initiatives and ensure company standards are implemented, met, and maintained * Demonstrate initiative and reflect a sense of urgency in daily duties by meeting or improving upon deadlines * Stay up to date on the latest industry standards and trends Cushman & Wakefield provides equal employment opportunity.
