The Opportunity:

The Client Partner, Strategic Accounts is a key role focused on managing, nurturing, and expanding Shutterstock's relationship with it. As the primary Account Owner, the Client Partner is tasked with understanding the complex needs of each key client, developing tailored account strategies, and driving product adoption to ensure customer satisfaction and account growth. This role demands a blend of strategic account management with hands-on execution to ensure the success and expansion of our key client partnerships.

The Day to Day:

  • Develop a deep understanding of assigned key accounts, their industry, and business challenges to effectively drive expansion and renewals of our solutions.

  • Craft and execute strategic account plans that outline the pathway for customer growth and increased adoption of Shutterstock product offerings.

  • Regularly communicate Shutterstock's value propositions to assigned accounts, highlighting opportunities for expansion and further collaboration.

  • Work closely with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to monitor product adoption rates and usage patterns, implementing strategies to increase engagement where necessary.

  • Proactively assess and understand the evolving needs of key accounts, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell solutions that deliver added value to the client.

  • Partner with Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to develop a strong pipeline of new leads within existing accounts, ensuring accurate tracking and follow-up in Shutterstock's CRM system and other tools.

  • Oversee the renewal process for assigned accounts, strategically positioning the value of continued partnership to maintain high retention rates.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for any and all customer needs, ensuring a seamless customer experience and the timely resolution of any issues or inquiries.

  • Perform ad hoc administrative functions as necessary, such as processing invoices and handling account documentation.

What you'll Bring to the Role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales and/or account management (commercial, strategic, client-facing role), with significant exposure to managing and growing large-scale, multi-location, strategic accounts.

  • Demonstrated track record of developing account strategies, executing renewals, and identifying upsell opportunities.

  • Proficiency in CRM and sales enablement tools, with a strong understanding of sales processes and customer engagement tactics.

  • Prior experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer success, and product development.

  • Knowledge of the digital content and media industry is highly desirable.

  • A strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a proven ability to manage and grow key accounts.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, capable of engaging with senior-level executives and decision-makers.

  • Strong analytical abilities to assess account needs and performance, translating data into actionable growth strategies.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate value propositions and complex solutions.

  • Highly organized with a proven track record of managing multiple priorities and stakeholders in a dynamic environment.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in using CRM systems to manage client relationships and sales pipelines effectively.

The pay range for this position is below:

  • 240,000 - 300,000 per year in New York

Note: Commission-eligible roles are expressed as on-target earnings (base and commission). Non-commission roles are expressed as base salary only but are also eligible for annual incentives.
