The Role

Investment Consulting Services - Client Operations Associate

The Client Operations Associate is responsible for the on-boarding and continued maintenance of all client accounts. The applicant must have a high standard of client service and always be looking for ways to deliver an exceptional experience to our clients as well as our advisory teams. The core responsibilities for this role are the setup, compilation and completion of client, custodian, and firm paperwork, maintaining of client files and supportive documentation needed to service all clients. This role is supportive to all groups within the Investment Consulting Services practice. Candidates who are detailed, proactive, collaborative, adapt well to improved workflows and understand the importance of the data within a CRM will excel. Our team is fast paced, and the ideal candidate will thrive in this setting, with the ability to maintain composure.

The Client Operations Associate will also fulfill an array of duties including, but not limited to scanning, downloading, uploading, and binding client documents and deliverables; client billing; handling routine client requests; and assisting the Advisory, Portfolio, and Operations team as needed.

The Client Operations Associate can expect to focus on the following areas:

  • New client onboarding, including the setup of new client and additional client

  • Firm, client, and custodian paperwork as

  • Processing and monitoring client transactions, proactively communicating completion/issues with team members.

  • Maintaining required logs and supporting documentation for compliance related

  • Organization and maintenance of the CRM and client portal; updating as

  • Responding to advisor and client requests and

  • Working directly with Charles Schwab and other

  • Participating in team meetings and collaborating with team members on best practices, goals and initiatives for the team.

  • Understanding exposure to risk, adhering to all firm risk and control polices and working with compliance/COO as necessary.

  • Supporting Advisory, Portfolio, and Operations teams as needed including marketing and client

  • Assisting with client billing and the preparation of client

  • Assisting with mailings, ad hoc and annual compliance

  • Representing Andersen in the best possible way to ensure the highest possible

Compensation and Benefits

Our firm offers competitive base compensation, benefits package, and a discretionary employee bonus program for eligible employees based on individual and firm performance metrics per the defined program guidelines. For individuals hired to work in Metro DC, the expected salary range for this role is $65,000. to $85,000.; the actual salary offer can vary based upon employee qualifications.

We offer paid time off, beginning at 160 hours annually and provides twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Compensation: In addition to competitive base compensation, our firm offers annual discretionary bonuses based on firm and individual performance, a discretionary long-term cash incentive program, and other forms of discretionary compensation that would be offered to the hired applicant in addition to their established salary range scale.

The Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably with a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA).

  • Experience utilizing a CRM and working directly with Custodians and a Portfolio Management System on daily operational tasks.

  • Working knowledge of Schwab and/or Tamarac is a plus.

  • Self-motivated; ability to multi-task independently and prioritize to meet deadlines in a high- pressure fast pace environment.

  • Meticulous attention to detail; strong organizational

  • Team player; ability to collaborate and work with, and through,

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships with our clients and internal

  • Excellent communication & advanced problem-solving

  • Ability to be proactive, and not reactive, to all aspects of daily job

  • Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and client service

  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, and PowerPoint.
