  • As a Client Systems Engineer you will develop and maintain plans for client operating systems, application software, and equipment. You will design and administer client management tools for workstation and servers, including management of system configuration, patching, and software lifecycle.

KEY FUNCTIONS

  • Develops and maintain a thorough plan for upgrading the current system including operating systems, application software, and equipment

  • Exercises a high degree of responsibility for the processes, systems, and tools you create and manage

  • Conducts independent security control assessment to confirm and establish that controls are implemented correctly

  • Develops adoption plans, including communications and training, for new software services

  • Evaluates new technologies and leads cross-organizational teams to analyze, select, implement, and integrate these technologies with existing IT services

  • Anticipates future IT service needs and investigates the potential of practical solutions

  • Participates in engineering architectural strategy, including technology standardization and modernization

  • Works proactively with multiple groups and business units to resolve issues in a timely manner

  • Acts as an ambassador and change agent to build a culture of continuous improvement

  • Develops strategies to mitigate end-user issues at an enterprise level

  • Takes initiative to document best practices and automate solutions

REQUIRED II:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Typically 3 or more years of relevant experience

  • Experience managing multi-platform Client Management Tools and MDM solutions (SCCM, Intune, Workspace One, JAMF, Ivanti or similar)

  • Experience in design and maintenance of client management technologies in an enterprise environment

  • Experience with configuration management and provisioning tools

  • Experience device management at an enterprise scale

  • Experience in producing repeatable, reliable, scalable systems

  • Proficient knowledge in PowerShell writing scripts and automating processes

  • Working knowledge in services as DHCP, DNS, IIS, MS-SQL, and NPS

  • Must be comfortable working with mission critical and sensitive systems

  • Ability to communicate and present ideas to customers and management

  • Must have ability to obtain and maintain Security clearance issued by the U.S. Government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance

REQUIRED III:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Typically 6 or more years of relevant experience

  • Advanced experience managing multi-platform Client Management Tools and MDM solutions (SCCM, Intune, Workspace One, JAMF, Ivanti or similar)

  • Expertise in design and maintenance of client management technologies in an enterprise environment

  • Experience with configuration management and provisioning tools

  • Experience in producing repeatable, reliable, scalable systems architectures, with high availability, fault tolerance, performance tuning, monitoring, and statistics/metrics collection

  • Expertise in PowerShell writing scripts and automating processes

  • Knowledge in services as DHCP, DNS, IIS, MS-SQL, and NPS

  • Must be comfortable working with mission critical and sensitive systems

  • Ability to communicate and present ideas to customers and all levels of management

  • Must have ability to obtain and maintain Security clearance issued by the U.S. Government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

Preferred:

  • MCSE for other Microsoft certifications

  • CompTIA Security+

  • Experience managing macOS or Linux

  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance and CI Poly, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENTS

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to use a computer to complete activities.

  • Ability to communicate with individuals and groups in person, by phone and telepresence.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will typically work in an office environment.

  • Intermittent travel to gain access to work areas and buildings
