Our Opportunity:

Charles Schwab Stock Plan Services (SPS) provides equity compensation record-keeping and brokerage services to both employers and their participants. Using our market-leading proprietary record-keeping system, Schwab EquiView, we provide outsourced administration services and financial reporting support. The SPS Participant Development team is responsible for defining the end-to-end customer experience from both a plan sponsor and participant standpoint. We then partner with other business leaders both within and outside SPS to advocate for and implement improvements that align the customer experience with our company's purpose to help investors 'Own your tomorrow'.

The Participant Development team also leads several initiatives that enable us to be a key driver of SPS business strategy. Examples include analyzing the marketplace and competitive landscape to identify strengths and opportunities relative to the industry, take a primary role in thought leadership initiatives and analyzing business metrics in order to draft annual business plans that align the client experience with our growth strategy and business objectives.

What you'll do:

The SPS Client Experience Analyst will contribute to the Client Experience team in several key ways including, but not limited to, the below items:

  • Supports Client Service Team data and analysis requests to deepen Client experience and engagement when appropriate

  • Leverage analytic skills to assess various business scenarios, draw conclusions, and present findings and recommendations to SPS Leadership

  • Work independently or collaboratively throughout the complete analytics project life cycle including data extraction/preparation, analysis and documentation of results

  • Partner with Finance to construct and refine business cases in order to demonstrate the value of investments and/or initiatives

  • Demonstrate ability to make connections between analysis and SPS strategy to identify causal relationships between business initiatives and measurable results in order to amplify project impact

  • Use critical analysis with a very high attention to detail to improve existing processes and innovate solutions

  • Use written and visual communication skills to effectively explain data and analysis in a compelling manner

  • Anticipate opportunities for new Client needs, and effectively communicate these to SPS Leadership to influence the Client Experience

  • Seek opportunities to develop relationships and partner with key stakeholders across the organization to achieve measurable results

  • Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously while achieving team-oriented objectives and collaborating with stakeholders where appropriate

What you have:

  • Strong understanding of Stock Plan Services dialogue and employee stock plan expertise a plus

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Finance, Marketing or related field

  • 2-4 years of financial services experience in a Financial Analysis, Business Intelligence, Analytics, Product Management, or Marketing role

  • Must be self-directed and self-motivated -- able to work independently or collaboratively throughout the complete analytics project life cycle including data extraction/preparation, analysis and documentation of results

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to partner with Managers and Senior Management to develop professional relationships and deliver customized products as well as effective feedback. Experience participating in cross functional projects or initiatives

  • Partner with Finance to construct and refine business cases in order to demonstrate the value of investments and/or initiatives

  • SAS programming, SQL querying, Teradata experience and Excel data manipulation capabilities used in context of analytic insight mining and marketing initiative performance measurement a plus

  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Business Objects or Tableau a plus

  • Proficiency working with MS Office applications such as Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook

  • Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation a plus
