About This Position

The Systems Administrator's role is to ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. The person will also analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Management of complex computing environments.

• Maintenance, administration, management, and deployment of Windows OS/infrastructure; SCCM, Domain maintenance, Intune, and familiarity with azure.

• Management of Microsoft Security Patch/Hot Fix installation.

• Creation and administration of user profile and access credentials

• Maintenance and administration of DNS, IIS, FTP and other network services.

• Maintain and update anti-spam and anti-virus applications.

• 24/7 On call support for Mission Critical service issues

• Maintenance and administration of server hardware and software inventories and documentations.

• Responding to user queries, answering questions, and resolving hardware and software problems.

• Responding to IT related trouble tickets reported.

• Responding to server resources monitoring alerts using Nagios a/PRTG/Solwarwinds and able to respond to alerts via text, cell or email

• Complete miscellaneous projects as assigned by manager.

• Fundamental knowledge of TCP/IP networks and troubleshooting tools

• Diagnose performance problems using available standard performance tools and system indicators

• In-depth knowledge and experience in troubleshooting, problem determination, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills

• Superior analytical skills to assess and resolve issues in a complex technical environment.

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Ability to work independently, efficiently, and effectively to resolve client concerns/issues

• Strong attention to detail in a structured environment

What You'll Need

• College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 3 years equivalent work experience

• Proven experience in technology planning, organization and development

• Familiarity with information security vulnerabilities and risk management

• Knowledgeable to a technical level in a wide range of technologies and methodologies

• basic familiarity with Linux

• powershell/ansible experience preferred.

• Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience

• Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards
