Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated Client Billing Accounting Supervisor to manage a team working on complex client billing in the wealth management industry. This position is essential to ensure the highest level of customer service and to meet/exceed SLAs for accuracy and timeliness. In addition to directing the day-to-day work of billing associates, the Billing Supervisor will analyze and resolve complex billing questions and excel in working with clients and senior management to achieve resolution to issues.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of billing associates to ensure billing activities are completed in a timely and accurate manner, including direct training of new associates. Supervise the day-to-day workload of the team, including assigning, reviewing, and approving work.

  • Analyze and resolve escalated billing issues from associates, internal and external clients through research and by communication to relevant departments. Effectively communicate details to senior management, including proposals for required solutions.

  • Responsible for producing billing for the most complex firms through detailed analysis of contracts and fee schedules.

  • Prepare and/or review journal entries and liaison with accounting for specific questions/projects. Demonstrate an understanding of basic accounting as related to the billing process.

  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of billing related processes and proactively recommend potential changes to policy and/or processes.

  • Assist with the adherence to SOX and substantive audit processes by understanding the SOX control framework and providing data as requested.

  • Lead special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed or assigned.

  • Maintain team by coaching and counseling employees in addition to developing personal growth opportunities. Ensure company goals and objectives are being met by each employee and provide feedback through regular performance evaluations.

  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.

  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • 7+ years of experience in Accounting, Billing, or related field.

  • Management experience preferred, particularly demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.

  • Ability to execute in a dynamic and demanding environment by demonstrating organizational, communication, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.

  • Demonstrated initiative, works well under pressure, highly analytical, detail oriented, self-motivated with the ability to follow through and implement process improvement.

  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office software tools, especially Excel. Experience with Oracle and Zendesk preferred.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Salary:

The annual base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $120,000.
