We are seeking an experienced Client Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise managing financial terms of client arrangements, systems, processes, workflow and reporting. This position will be a key contributor in the implementation of a new financial accounting system.

Primary Duties

  • Responsible for client account analysis, testing, data validation and related contributions to implementing a new financial accounting system.

  • Masters financial terms for clients and ensures processing environment supports firm policies and client guidelines.

  • Offers guidance to partners on opportunities to negotiate guidelines in alignment with best practices.

  • Provides management of billing engagements invoiced in coordination of client insurance coverage to insure compliance with billing requirements; provides insights on how to improve billing and collection of insured-covered work.

  • Develops relationships with client legal administrative teams to assure quality billing & collection customer service; supports timely bill processing and facilitate resolution of billing discrepancies.

  • Regularly analyzes inventory status pertaining to aged accounts receivable and unbilled services. Develops reports that allows colleagues, managers and attorneys to quickly understand where follow-up is needed.

  • Assesses systems (workflow and technical) are functioning across the firm in alignment with billing terms of engagement; recommend process and technical utilization improvements as needed.

  • Collaborates with client teams and Billing & Collection Coordinators to develop and deploy efficient and effective client reporting and in the creation, maintenance, monitoring and analysis of client budget, accruals and alternative fee arrangements.
