Provides secretarial support and clerical functions for the University of Maryland Capital Region Health Medical Group.
Answers telephones, types letters, memos and reports.
Maintains department records.
Responds promptly and appropriately to complaints from patients, visitors and hospital staff.
Must demonstrate courtesy to others greeting and acknowledging customers and using a friendly tone.
Ability to refer calls to appropriate personnel and to assist in the administrative operation of the department in the absence of the supervisor
Reports directly to the Busines Opreation Manager
Identifies and resolves any and all issues related to the administrative issues.
Informs Business Operations Manager of identified problems or concerns related to all aspects of housekeeping operation.
Offer suggestions/ideas to solve them to the Business Operations Manager
Types and Number of Employees Supervised:None.
High School graduate and experience as Senior Unit Clerk, receptionist, clerk-typist, or similar position required.
Typing skills required - minimum 35 words per min.
Effective communication skills essential.
Demonstration of computer skill using spread sheets and word-processing desired. Experience in health care setting is desirable.
