The Bureau of Planning, Training, and Exercise and the Central Area Office are seeking a detail-oriented individual to support daily operations and bureau/office staff.

Position may serve in the CRCC and must be available to work irregular schedule when activated.

This position is subject to promotion provisions of a collective bargaining agreement or memorandum of understanding.
This position will work with both the Bureau of Planning, Training, and Exercise (BOPTE) and the Central Area Office (CAO). The position's main responsibilities are: (a) performance of activities associated with the administration of BOPTE and CAO, under supervision of the Bureau and Office Directors; (b) providing administrative assistance/guidance to County EMA offices with questions and inquiries regarding the state/county/local programs, fiscal/financial requirements, and reporting procedures associated with planning, training, exercise, and area office-related programs; (c) prepare and update operational manuals and office procedures for use by all bureau and area office employees, to include creating report forms, photocopying materials, creating and printing certificates and letters, etc; (d) processing county and local personnel actions/changes for appointment by the Governor; (e) maintaining various files and financial documentation of federal/state/county programs, as needed; (f) serve as timekeeper for BOPTE and CAO, keeping track of overtime approvals as required; (g) ability to use discretion and independent judgment in dispensing sensitive information which may be susceptible to misunderstanding or misuse; (h) other administrative duties as may be assigned by the bureau director; (i) emergency operational assignments.
