Clerk (Pool Gatehouse)

Hiring Pay : $11.00/hr

NOTE : May require weekends and afternoon/evening hours. 

Description :

This classification performs a variety of general office work, routine in nature, and may assist Aquatic facility staff with various job duties. Duties and responsibilities include greeting and assisting customers, answering phones, filing paperwork, and entering data.

Reports to Program & Aquatic Coordinator.The following duties are normal for this position.  The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification.   While this is intended to be an accurate reflection of the current job, management reserves the right to revise the job.  Other duties may be required and assigned.

Performs housekeeping of work area and aquatic facilities

Must be available to work weekends, nights, and some holidays

When assigned to Gate House, is responsible for unlocking gatehouse, explaining pool rules, sending people out of pool area when there are emergencies, handle cleaning supplies, monitoring restroom facilities

Assists with various aquatic and departmental programs

Performs routine clerical work such as copying, filing, recording data

Meeting and dealing with the public.

Assists with opening and closing the facility; answers telephone calls and greets visitors

Operates the cash register; accepts and processes payment of admissions, memberships, and programs; performs daily balances and reports any discrepancies immediately to supervisorPLEASE READ THROUGH FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

Must be available and willing to work 40 hours each week, including evenings, most weekends, and some holidays

Familiarity with computers as needed for office work; proficient in Microsoft Office

Must be an enthusiastic team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills

Previous experience in a CPR/AED certified position preferred

Must be at least 16 years of age.NOTE : May require weekends and afternoon/evening hours.
