Clerk, Inventory Control

• Weekend Shift

Schedule: Friday

• Sunday ; 5a-5:30p

Pay: $17.50/hr + 6.25% Shift Differential ($18.59/hr)

What you will do:

Coordinate incoming and outgoing movement and storage of raw materials, finished products and parts that include functions such as warehousing, shop and delivery services to ensure material availability and delivery when needed to meet production schedules.

How You Will Make a Difference:

• Compile data on order volume, production schedules and forecasts and applies statistical methods to estimate future materials requirements.

• Assist with the order and release of raw materials

• Conduct cycle counts and investigations

• Support the preparation and issue purchase orders for blanket production material at negotiated prices that meet goals of cost competitiveness.

• Develop and maintain good working relationships throughout the organization

• Report to management as needed

• Use computer system for tracking, logging, verifying, and reporting

• Cycle Counting.

• Timely resolve order shortages.

• Create PKMS (WMS) transactions to assure that exception inventory is timely converted to active inventory and available for sale, and, accounted for if unsaleable (e.g., case creating, locked locations, wrong SKU's, shelf / wave damages, lost inventory, cycle count exceptions).

• Perform additional support to the Inventory Control department and DC as needed.

• Commitment to the principle of continuous process improvement.

Skills for Success

• An ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and manage workload to meet deadlines.

• Ability to become proficient using the Warehouse Management System AS/400 (PKMS).

• Basic proficiency using desktop and business software applications including Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word applications.

Educational/ Position Requirements

• Highschool diploma required

• Years of Related Professional Experience: 1 - 2 years

• Excellent organizational, communication and grammatical skills with very strong attention to detail.

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Typical Working Conditions

Sitting computer workstation 12 hours daily with occasional overtime

Physical Demands:

• Stand and/or walk during shift between 8 to 12 hours

• Lift, push, pull and move boxes up to 50 pounds

• Bend, squat, twist, reach above the head, kneel, crouch and/or stretch

• Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands, wrists and feet coordination operation of Order Picker style Powered Industrial Truck

• Noise level varies and can be loud

Hiring Range:

$14.40 USD - $18.00 USD per hour
