Clerk II works under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and performs clerical tasks primarily related to the active and closed clinical record.
These tasks include, but are not limited to: keeping up to date with policies and changes from the Medical Records Department in regards to charts, faxing aftercare packets, filing, preparing emergency packets from completed transcribed Hospital Software copies, preparation of Daily Lists of movements, preparation of Physician's Daily Roster, billing from doctor rosters within specified time frames, closing out charts, preparation and delivery of chart for audits and obtaining corrections of active records on an ongoing basis to ensure their completion and accuracy, major chart audits when patient is being transferred, furloughed or discharged. Applicants must pass a fingerprint criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen, and registry checks including the Client Abuse/Neglect Reporting System (CANRS), Nurse Aid, Medication Aide and Employee Misconduct, and HHS OIG list of Excluded Individuals/Entities. Males between the ages of 18-25 must be registered with the Selective Service.
