REPORTS TO: Warehouse Operations Supervisor

DEFINITION: Performs clerical duties that are not general in nature but require a high degree of technical competence and understanding of the unique requirements of the warehouse and cafeteria managers. 111is position requires that information be disseminated to personnel accurately and in a friendly manner.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

Perfoms clerical duties such as filing, typing, data processing, preparing spreadsheets, answering telephones, distributing mail, and operating office equipment.

Inputs food and supply orders received from school cafeteria managers into the CGI Financial System.

Develops and maintains online order templates in the CGI Financial System. Completes daily refrigeration pull sheets.

Enters vendor deliveries into online calendar. Reviews orders for accuracy and omissions, Assists with warehouse inventory,

Responds to questions pettaining to food orders received from school managers.

Provides general assistance in the interpretation of office or departmental policies and procedures.

Assists drivers with delivery problems.

Performs other duties of similar scope and complexity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Training and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years of office experience. Ad vantage Financial System experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of office terminology, procedures, and equipment.

Knowledge of and ability to operate computers and related software for the purpose of data ent1y.

Ability to adapt to established procedures and to work with extreme accuracy in checking,

posting, computing, and filing.

Ability to receive products using established procedures.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to provide customer service.

Excellent telephone skills.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

Work is generally sedentmy and pe1formed in an office setting.

Work involves sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Work includes the operation of office equipment, including personal computers, and occasional limited physical activities.

Counting of inventmy in all parts of the warehouse including the freezer.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

All persons employed by the Baltimore County Public Schools, regular and temporary, are required to be fingerprinted and have a criminal background investigation (per COMAR) completed. The fee charged for fingerprinting is $109. An identification card will be issued which must be shown prior to employment.

  • Anyone offered employment is required to provide proper identification and documentation of eligibility for employment in the US.

  • If you have military experience, you will be asked to provide a copy of DD214.

  • Official transcripts for all higher education must be received prior to contract signing.

  • Some positions will require employees to undergo a physical examination and/or drug testing.

  • All newly hired personnel must attend a Badges and Benefits session.

  • Additional job verification will be required for salary credit.
